What's a Bucket Filler?
Our class is excited to become bucket fillers. As bucket fillers, we recognize the positive ways we treat each other. A bucket filler shows respect and appreciation for others by displaying acts of kindness, manners, and having the willingness to help others. Students will learn that in life we all have invisible buckets we carry with us and we fill it every time we do a good deed for someone.
Students become bucket fillers by filling their own buckets and the person's bucket they cared for (posted in class) daily using pompoms or notes of encouragement. Each time they use or act with kindess towards someone else, they add the pompoms. When their bucket is full, they receive a sticker on their bucket and start over again. The stickers on the bucket help students see the number of times their buckets have been filled.
Don't be surprised if you get a few bucket filler notes this year!

Bucket Dippers...
Unfortunately, there are bucket dippers or what we call BULLIES. It is our goal to encourage them to become bucket fillers and make sure everyone is showing acts of kindness to one another.
